Foxy Ladies #11: Jan Speck

I must admit, I don't know a whole lot about the Price Is Right model, Jan Speck - the information on the internets is sparse.  She was the wife of John Badham, the director of Saturday Night Fever, and she appeared as minor characters in movies like Stakeout and Short Circuit.

What I do know is she is a stone cold fox.  There's been a lot of famous ladies who've broken free of Barker's harem, such as Dian Parkinson, Janice Pennington, Cindy Margolis, and Anitra Ford (who was featured in a Mini Skirt Monday post). But I'd like to give props to one of the lesser known Price Is Right mamas - Jan Speck.

As I said, I don't know really anything about her, so I'll just leave you with a few pictures. Unfortunately, I can't get good quality images until The Price Is Right releases its catalog on DVD (i.e. never). Until then, these will have to do. Enjoy.

The only other real notoriety associated with Miss Speck is from her stint as gameshow model on The New Treasure Hunt in the 1980s.  In one episode the lecherous host asks her for a kiss, and they start making out passionately. The poor contestant stands there awkwardly whilst Jan and the host lock lips and proceed to grope on each other. View the awkwardness.

  1. I can barely believe they let a French maid costume like the one with her and the stove be allowed on daytime TV!

  2. I've never heard of Jan Speck being on The Price is Right, certainly not as a regular. The way the prizes are displayed doesn't look like Price is Right either -- my guess is that all these pics are from Treasure Hunt. Also, Price is Right occasionally had the models in swimsuits if they were giving away boats, hot tubs, etc., but there's no way they would have had that French main costume.

  5. Those vidcaps are ALL from Treasure Hunt. I was an avid viewer, because I was laid up from a broken leg.

  6. Jan Speck's birthday today (Apr 10). Most beautiful game show model ever. Always loved watching Treasure Hunt because of her.

The smile. The eyes. She looks like John Elway in drag.
