Vintage Gams #1: Guys 'n' Gams

As you know, Retrospace deals mostly with the 1970s, with a bit of spill-over into the adjacent decades. The 40s and 50s are pretty much off the table here at Retrospace; however, I think it's worthy to note the great appreciation for gams back in those days...... actually, I think "great appreciation" is not an appropriate description for how men viewed the female leg.  "Batshit crazy" may be more apropos.

Indeed, with Miniskirt Monday posts being the most popular Retrospace topic, it's seems only fair and just to provide a shout-out to our fellow leg-men that have gone before us. And how better to do that than dish up a generous serving of images featuring men among gams upon gams. Enjoy!

  1. Nice touch your ending with a photo of yourself and with Ginger no less. Also, the photo of Jane Fonda and Tony Perkins from A Tall Tale reminds me of why, after all these years, mini-skirt Monday has become a part of my weekly routine. Frankly I had the same eye-popping reaction to Jane that Tony did.

  2. Anyone who thinks Angelina Jolie's leg is something to behold (and indeed it is!)should take a gander at a poster of Betty Grable. Grable's legs were the greatest weapon of the U.S. military during WWII boosting the moral of the young men who would defeat the world wide forces of tyranny and evil. Thank you Betty.

  3. The first time I heard the word "gams" was in an old movie. Bing Crosby was telling some girl she had great gams and was instructing her on how to use them to get what she wanted. We had to look the word up in the dictionary.

  6. Wow. At first, I thought "well, shoot, he really SHOULD'a had Cyd Charisse in this one". But then it dawned on me, it's a good thing you didn't. You would have finally scored perfection, and God would have called you home to work on His website. Damn. That was close!

    Great post. Great.
