Mini Skirt Monday #164: Minis in Plaid (Part 2)

It's been a couple years since we've tackled the tough subject of plaid miniskirts.  It's a polarizing issue with a lot of far-reaching ramifications, but Retrospace is not one to shy away from the hard topics that matter.  For this edition, we sent our best journalists into the field to cover what other news agencies won't show you. Embedded in the front lines, up close and unafraid, Retrospace is proud to present..... plaid miniskirts part two (soon to be a miniseries by Ken Burns).  Enjoy.

As I've mentioned in Part One: I will appreciate any comments except those that point out that a particular mini is technically madras or tartan and not plaid.  Don't think too much, just enjoy the minis.

  1. #2 "Nice beaver."

#46 Man, that's one of the hottest fashion shots I've ever seen. The colors; the legs; the way their heads are so close, like they're ready to kiss.

#52 "Patty? Would do me the honor of accompanying me to the National Honor Society Honors Tea? I'm to receive the special award for being true and square. But please wear a long skirt, as this exposure is unbecoming and causes me great concern."

  8. #26 is from the episode of the Batman TV series where Liberace played the dual role of the evil villain Chandell (as in "chandelier". Get it?) and his brother Harry. The Liberace episodes were the highest rated of the series, believe it or not.

  9. The young man in #27 sure does look happy to have his arms wrapped around those two young ladies. Yeah buddy, he has both hands full and he's pulling them both in tight.

  10. Can I point out that #58 is from the sitcom "The Good Guys"?

I wonder if you have taken some of these miniskirt photos from a Lebanon High School yearbook produced between 1970 - 74 or do all high schools and their students from that era kinda look alike.

  13. The cheerleaders at my high school wore plaid miniskirts, and they were shorter than anything shown here. Email me at firepoint525 (at) gmail.com and I will send you some scans.
