Well, it's been at least a year since I was regularly posting to Retrospace. It was a long hiatus, but I knew I'd get back to it when the time was right. I've had just too damn much fun here (since 2008!) to wave goodbye for good. I'm so glad I can now return... the question is, how many of you are still out there?
Why'd I leave in the first place? Regular readers may recall that, after over 5 years of daily posting, I was starting to get burned out - plus I'd been burned by Google (they pulled my advertising) and Rapidshare. It was time to take a break. Plus, I began doing articles for Anorak and Flashbak, which took up any remaining time. (Note: I'm still submitting to Flashbak, but not as frequently.)
So, what to expect in the days ahead? There's no way I can post every day as I used to. Also, super-lengthy posts which involve lots of work are probably going to be few and far between. But I will be scanning quite a bit ("vintage preservation" is, for whatever reason, rewarding to me). And, yes, there will be Miniskirt Mondays... just not every Monday. Perhaps most importantly, pancakes will, once again, be on the menu.
I'm so looking forward to returning to the wheel. Things may be a tad different than before, but Retrospace will still be Retrospace, with yours truly at the helm once again. It's good to be back - I just hope my loyal readers hear the call: Retrospacers Assemble!
