The Groovy Age of Travel #14: Stewardesses (Part 3)

We'll consider this part 3 since we've been down this road a couple times before (see Groovy Age of Travel #8 and Mini Skirt Monday #18).  Anyway, the San Diego Air and Space Museum has an amazing collection of vintage air travel pictures - all with “No Known Copyright Restrictions”.  Naturally, I pulled 30 of the better stewardess pics for my Retrospace readers to enjoy....

Take note: I have a whole batch of stewardess photographs of my own waiting in the wings (pun intended); so, stay tuned!

  1. Sorry to the many who commented on this post prior to 5/19/16; all comments were lost. I experimented with the IntenseDebate comment system and quickly realized it sucked (not even viewable on my iPhone - yuck!). Well - things are back to where they were- my apologies!

  2. Back then they were called stewardesses.

They all wore miniskirts and were hot, hot, hot.

    Now they're called flight attendants.

They all wear pantsuits and look like Hillary Clinton.

  3. Now I know where the Hotdog On A Stick outfits came from!
