VHS #18: German Kassette

Welcome to Günter's VHS Kassette Geschäft, where we have all your video rental needs.  Take a look around, browse our selection, and the lovely Heike will check you out at the register.  And remember: Sei nett. Zurückspulen.

The Howling
Evidently the German Howling cover was much more "sexual" than the American version.

Jaws The Revenge
I'm sorry to report that this film is bad in any language.

The Fall of the House of Usher
Funny.  I don't remember a drill wielding killer in the Poe story.  Artistic license I guess.

If you come upon a dude in a robe like that, my best advice is to just back away slolowly.

This looks freaking awesome.

    These are absolutely great.
Ahhh, the bygone days of hand-made schlocky promotional movie art...

  3. Hello Retrospace! Thanks a lot for posting those funny & bad tasty vhs video cassette covers from the 1980s! The covers remind me of the time, when I used to rent vhs cassettes in video libraries. Best regards from Germany! Andy

  4. I'll take my chances with Supergrass. Can't go wrong with Saunders/French and a Keith Tippett soundtrack!
