I'm having a bit of trouble finding time to put forth a post, and I don't foresee things getting much lighter at work this week either... if only I could win or inherit millions of dollars, invent something, start a franchise, or just come across a celebrity sex tape.
Oh well. Until I can catch a break, let me leave you with possibly the finest magazine cover of all time. Yeah, buddy!
Man I used to LOVE Linda Rondstadt. Especially that Living in the USA cover with her in short shorts and roller skates.
ReplyDeleteHey Gil. That is so awesome. I love that. Sorry you haven't had much time. My problem is not the time. My problem is that the job I have doesn't give me much hours and pay, plus I can't stand my boss. I wish I could win the lottery or something else. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteSo happy they did the Doc a solid and made him the guitar player, since in the comics he is relegated to bass typically (as in he doesn't get noticed, and only gets to sleep with the girls the lead singer and guitarist shoo away :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to play bass, but I'm not bitter or anything :-D
Seriously, C3-PO would be the worst drummer ever. I'm just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteOh. Didn't see Threepeo.
ReplyDeleteMy fake Star Wars line:
"When making a Star Wars band, let the wookie drum."
I just KNOW I had this issue as a kid. Marvel also published a magazine called "Bananas" around the same time, which was like Dynamite Magazine for slightly older/hipper (if such a term applies here) kids.
ReplyDeleteSo loved the times when Linda was the queen of rock n roll!
ReplyDeletePizazz was the first magazine I bought with my own paper route money. I was cooler than cool back before Wizard
