As big a place as the Internet is, there still isn't a complete gallery of space babes from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (imagine that). So, I took it upon myself to fill this glaring void in the blogosphere, and compile this database (Wikipedia, I'm talkin' to you - link here asap). Each stone cold fox is listed with (1) the actress' name, (2) her character, (3) the episode(s) she appeared in, and best of all, a picture or two. Some entries have an item of trivia.
So, here's the first installment of perhaps the most important reference collection on the Internet: The Women of Buck Rogers. Enjoy!
Pamela Hensley as Princess Ardala

Brianne Leary (cousin of Timothy Leary) as Ryma

Ana was a regular player on Falcon Crest. She also had a small part (as the nurse, Janet) in the original Halloween II.

Liberty Godshall as Nyree and Teddi Siddall as Linea

Episode: "Cosmic Wiz Kid"
Melody has been a regular on All My Children since 1970.
... and not to worry, Erin Grey is on the list.... but later.
Nice work. We used to love this show. Markie Post seems to have gotten around a bit before landing on Night Court.
ReplyDeleteI applaud your post, sir!

AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing Erin Gray every year at Comic-con.
ReplyDeleteShe is a class act.
I am also surprised to see who was a "minor character" on Buck Rogers, but who went on to bigger stardom.
Keep up the good work between political rants.
This is excellent. Can't wait for more! Yeah, Erin Gray is at Comic-Con every year, and she still looks terrific.
ReplyDeleteWhat? No love for Pamela Hensley's work on the 80's detective show "Matt Houston"?
ReplyDeleteFun stuff. Buck Rogers was only rivaled by Hee-Haw in it's pulchritude of family-friendly jiggle factor. :-)
ReplyDeleteA bad show, but it was fun at least for the first season. The second season was almost as bad as Space 1999's second season and it had that same kind of "change everything that worked" type approach.
ReplyDeleteI never knew that Jamie Lee Curtis was on Buck Rogers.I wonder if she got Dr. Huer to take the Activa challenge.
ReplyDeleteBrianne Leary also appeared on "CHiPs" as a semi-regular, and if I recall, Erik Estrada didn't like her, so she was let go.
ReplyDelete"Miss Cosmos" played by Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten. HOW COULD YOU OMIT HER FROM THE LIST?
ReplyDeleteShe is the officer of the earth federal Defence directorate and companion of astronaut turn futuristic space pilot from the 21st century became allies to save earth from Draconian invaders led by Empress Ardala and his minions try to takeover the world Buck Rogers and his squadron defeated the Draconian invaders and retreat finally Buck Rogers won the war as conquering heroes

As I comment in part II of this, BR is a Glen Larson production. Pamela appeared in many Larson productions, including Knight Rider, The Fall Guy, Battlestar Galactica, and BJ and the Bear.
BTW -- you failed to note that she has a nude scene in Halloween II. The part was egregiously small, but notable for that alone.
She was indeed a very lovely girl.
