This week The Professor and yours truly get into the 1972 action flick Prime Cut (1972) in which we admire Lee Marvin's shiny white loafers (aka "the Half Cleveland"). There's a sausage bludgeoning, sex slavery, and a profusely sweating bad guy that's not Gene Hackman. You won't want to miss it.
But before we dive into the feature, we count down our 3 best and worst movie theater experiences. There's talk of projectile vomit and disgusting things coming from Robert Downy Jr.' s mouth. Like I said, you don't want to miss it.
The Professor and I tackle every detail - from Marvin's badass performance to Spacek's nakedass performance. As we do with each and every feature, we also deliver up the Drinking Game. Do you take a drink every time Hackman overacts? Nope - you'll have to listen to find out.

Below are some screen shots of the film. (I may try to provide this with each episode onward.) Anyway, your feedback is appreciated. Send us a recommendation as well. You can leave your comments here or on Facebook. We look forward to hearing from you!

Wow. I've never heard of this movie. I have a movie suggestion. How about the original Black Christmas? John Saxon, Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder, that dude from 2001. Good stuff.
ReplyDeletepuberty and Sissy Spacek
ReplyDelete"You eat guts?"
ReplyDeleteMichael Ritchie was one of the great filmmakers of the 70s and beyond: Semi-Tough, Smile, Bad News Bears, Fletch, and...this one.
ReplyDeleteOne of Lee Marvin's best roles, IMHO.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have a recommendation as well, "The Outfit" (1973) starring Robert Duvall, Joe Don Baker, and Robert Ryan. One of Duvall's best roles, IMHO.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you guy's back!!! Keep up the great work. And yes Sissy Spacek was all that, very classic 70's look. But my favorite Lee Marvin performance was in the 1967 point blank, great flick !!!
ReplyDeleteYes, "Point Blank" was a great flick and Marvin was great in it.
DeleteDid the lovely Ms. Spacek ever get her proper due as an early 70's sex symbol? (I think her role in that DePalma flick killed some of the momentum.) Like the Urban Dictionary definition says - "Texas girls are the best around."
